Obituary

Geneva Berger Harris, 81, passed away on February 21, 2020 at Lexington Country Place. She was born October 6, 1938 in Estill County, Kentucky to the late Walter and Lena Chaney Berger. Geneva retired from Rand McNally and was a member of Versailles Church God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. “Billy” Harris. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Chester, Tom, Ray, Rex, Shelby, Shelton, Wilt Berger, and Price McIntosh, sisters, Bessie Wilson, Goldie Sames, Pauline Foley, Sammie Hollingsworth, and Lillie Antrobus.

Geneva will be lovingly remembered by her children, Wayne (Brenda) Harris, Debbie (Mark) McCord, and Lana (Michael) Thomas, all of Versailles, grandchildren, Chris Harris, Laini (Brian)Traugott, Callie Thomas, Kendall (Mark) Agee, and Colby (Austin)Baker, and great grandson, Liam Traugott, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 also at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, Rev. Frank Layne officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Chris Harris, Michael Thomas, Mark Agee, Austin Baker, Steve Childers, and Bobby Foley. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Blue Grass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY, 40601.
