Vera Dawson

Vera Dean Scott Dawson, 81, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018. Loving wife of Mr. William Dawson, Vera was a native of Boone County, KY, born September 6, 1936 to the late Lillard Sutton and Zora Cason Scott. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and the University of Kentucky. Vera was a member of Versailles Baptist Church where she was the pianist for many years and enjoyed working in the children's ministry. In addition to being active in church, Vera enjoyed volunteering her time as a 4H Leader and with the Woodford County Food Pantry.

In addition to her husband, William, Vera is survived by their children, Donna (Terry) Whitehouse, Scott (Rhonda) Dawson, and Debra (Kevin) Harris; grandchildren, Adam (Shae) Whitehouse, Andrew (Jami) Dale, Rachel (Pat) Creager, Matthew (Kandice) Whitehouse, Rebekah Dale, Mark Dawson, and Benjamin Dawson; and 5 great grandchildren.
