Shirley Collins

Shirley Dean Collins, 76, returned to her heavenly father while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Shirley was born in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Samuel and Malissa Gray Cox. She was preceded in death by her siblings Glen Cox, Alma Clemons, Frank Cox, Alex Cox, Shelby Jean Grigsby, and Anne Lou Banks. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bobby R. Collins; siblings Willis Cox, Bruce Cox, Myrtle Hickman, Nancy New, and Sam Cox; sons Bobby Collins (Catherine), Samuel Collins (Heather), Rick Collins (Lindsey), grandchildren Samuel Collins (Jessica), Chelsea Carter (Stephen), Matthew Collins, Zachary Collins, Gentry Collins, Cash Collins, Nathaniel Collins; great-grandchildren Norah Collins, Stafford Carter, and Walton Carter. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Wed., April 17, 2019 at True Life Church, 407 Kingston Rd., Lexington, KY 40505, by Pastor Anthony Martin. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, KY. Visitation will be 11:30 – 1:30 PM Wed. at the church.
