Sarah Ellis

Sarah "Margie" Barker Ellis, age 95, of Frankfort, Kentucky was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on April 9, 2018. She passed away at her home with family gathered around her. Margie was born on April 15, 1922, in Shelbyville, Kentucky to the late J. Lottie Barker and John Willie Barker.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Patsy K. Faulconer; her son, John A. Ellis (Millie); three Granddaughters, Paula Fallis (David), Penny Faulconer, Andrea Ellis; four Great Grandchildren, Bryn Fallis (Laura), Shane Slattery (Kristina), Lorin Laslie (Jacob), Kayla Fallis; and three Great-Great Grandchildren, Hudson Fallis, Hayden Fallis, and Thomas Laslie.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clyde Ellis; her mother, J. Lottie Barker; her father, John Willie Barker; her grandson, John Kiven Ellis; her brothers, Guy Thomas Barker, Elzie Elmer Barker; her sister, Katherine Barker Parker; and her son-in-law, Paul Faulconer.
Margie was an active and lifetime member of Providence Baptist Church, where she met her husband as a toddler in the nursery. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was an active member of the Crestwood Homemakers Association for many years.
