Russell Traugott, Sr.

Russell T. Traugott, Sr. 80, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021. A native of Woodford County, he was born on December 1, 1940 to the late James Beck and Cordie Thomas Patterson Traugott. Mr. Traugott retired from the Woodford County School Bus Garage and was a member of the Midway Nazarene Church. He loved playing the guitar and singing in church. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Roy Lee Traugott, Shelbyville, Russell T. (Jennifer) Traugott, Jr. Lawrenceburg and Anthony (Elizabeth) Traugott, Harrodsburg; his sister, Faye (Gene) Owens, Versailles; his brothers, Charles (Rena) Traugott, Versailles and Marvin Traugott, Midway; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Flora and Marcella Flora; his brother, Maurice Traugott and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center on Versailles Road with Rev. Gary Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Michael Traugott, Jacob Traugott, Tim Dollar, Robert Dollar, Ronald Owens, Danny Owens, and Steve Cress. Visitation will Friday, March 19, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center on Versailles Road from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Midway Nazarene Church.
