Oakley McCoy

September 21, 1925 — January 11, 2018

Mr. McCoy was born in Frankfort on September 21, 1925 to the late George Beckham and Addie Lou Hulette McCoy. He was united in marriage to his loving wife of 73 years, Elsie Lena Sallee McCoy, who also preceded him in death. He was a proud and honorable WWII Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. McCoy spent much of his life as a self-employed contractor, operating heavy equipment machinery and working in many of the areas and buildings of Frankfort. All of his life, farming was his true passion. He was an outdoorsman, who loved camping and fishing. A true jokester at heart, he loved instigating to get a laugh. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his children, Bill McCoy (Jean), Barbara McCoy and Carol McCoy Durbin (Bill); his four loving grandchildren, Stephanie Gubanic, Angie Hornbeck (John); Robbie Dobbins, and Greg McCoy (Heather); seven great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.
