Nettie Hartley

Nettie Mae Coyle Hartley, 85, widow of Jody “J.B.” Hartley, departed this life on Thursday, April 23, 2020. Born December 28, 1934, in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Kenneth “Grasshopper” and Emma Lee Fawns Coyle. Nettie was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church of Versailles, she enjoyed working at the Woodford County Courthouse, and she also had worked for several other local businesses in Versailles. Nettie's favorite past time was taking care of her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and husband Nettie was also preceded in death by her brothers, William Albert Coyle, James Franklin Coyle, grandchild, Tiffany Creech, and great-grandson, Brandon Barkley.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Karen Rice, Georgetown, Joanie Forkner (Scotty), Versailles, Theresa Lemley (Jeff Watson), Frankfort, son, Michael Hartley (Jill), Versailles, sister in law, Janice Coyle, Florida, grandchildren, Tracey Taylor, Georgetown, Ashley Young, Georgetown, Adam Forkner, Owensboro, Sarah Rice, Georgetown, LeAnn Slugantz, Lexington, Alex Forkner, Millville, and Kellie Voth, Ohio, Abby Forkner, Lexington and four great-grandchildren.

Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home has been entrusted with the service arrangements for Mrs. Hartley. A private ceremony and graveside service will commence with a celebration of Nettie’s life to be scheduled for a time when friends and family may gather together.
