Obituary for Virginia Woods Harrod
Frankfort - Lena Virginia Woods Harrod, age 92, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Matthew Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time on Wednesday.
Mrs. Harrod was born in Henry County on December 23, 1925, to the late James Curtiss "Curt" and Rebecca Hudson Woods. She was united in marriage to her loving husband, Silas Morgan Harrod, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Harrod lived by her favorite motto, "Always be honest and kind." She was a homemaker and spent her life loving and caring for her family. She will be missed dearly by them.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elliott Woods.
She is survived by her loving son, Barry Harrod (Donna); brother, Alva Woods (Ruth); grandchildren, Jennifer Ewell (Junior) and Wesley Harrod (Kim); step-grandchildren, Michelle Jones (Matthew) and Melanie Moore (Brett); and by four great-grandchildren, Arionna, Tyson, Laydon, and Cason. She was also blessed with her beloved feline companion, Gracie.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Rodgers, Taylor Manley, Kenny Winkle, Eddie Sullivan, J.C. Newton, and Joe Pat Rogers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dave Thompson, Juney Arnold, and Tim Dean.
