Obituary for Judy Finney Smith
Funeral services for Judy F. Smith, 78, Frankfort will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Rev.s Tom Troth and Vernon Carpenter will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith passed away peacefully surrounded by family Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington. A native of Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late James S. and Verba Finney.
She graduated from Shelbyville High School and attended Georgetown College and member of Kappa Delta Sister Alumni. Judy was a retired state employee in public health with over thirty years of service and member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she spent twenty four years serving as Treasurer, member of (BWA) Baptist Women in Action, Senior Adult Sunday School Class and Frankfort Cut Ups.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Smith, son Steve (Leslie) Stigers, step daughter Lori Smith and stepson Kelly Smith; four grandchildren Tyler Stigers, Sierra Smith, Emily Smith and Ethan Stigers.
Pall Bearers will be Jimmy Rogers, Bobby Courtney, Sr. Ron Harrod, Tyler Stigers, Ethan Stigers, Paul Bell and Mike Barnes. Honorary bearers are BWA Hillcrest Baptist Church, Sierra Smith, Emily Smith, Frankfort Cut Ups, Vickie Jeffs, Mildred Buckhead and long time friend, Brenda Rogers.
