James Gaines

Frankfort – James Everett Gaines, age 75, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. Graveside Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wesley Noss officiating. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Mr. Gaines was born May 31, 1943, in Frankfort, to the late Velma Bo Gaines and Goldie Slattery Cook. He retired from the Transportation Cabinet.
He is survived by his wife Linda Hutcherson Gaines; children, James R. Gaines (Marlene); Steve Gaines (Debbie); and Julie Yount (Anthony); siblings, Scott Gaines (Karen) and Linda Morse (David). He was also blessed with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Lee Gaines.
Serving as pallbearers will be family members.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to L.I.F.E. House for Animals.
