Glenna Smith

April 10, 1946 — July 24, 2021

Glenna Sue Smith, 75, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was a resident of Frankfort, Kentucky and a Kentucky State Police retiree after 39 years of employment. Glenna was a graduate of Gallatin County High School in Warsaw, Kentucky and a member of Crestwood Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Glenna is survived by her three loving sisters, Nannie Presnell of Frankfort, Wanda Browning of Pleasureville, and Wilma Kinman of Carrollton; a loving brother, Oldham Smith of Owenton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host of dear friends, including her dear and faithful friend, Justin Spinks.

In addition to her companions, George Tincher of 28 years, and David Newton of 16 years, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Nim and Pauline Beverly Smith; a sister, Vera Towles; three brothers, Donald Winters, Manford Smith, and Albert Lee Smith.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00p, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort with Bro. Mike Butler officiating. Ms. Smith will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort, following the service. Nathan Hockensmith, Brian Sumner, Jeremy Banta, Justin Taylor, Jason Taylor, and Brad Taylor will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brad Bates, John Carrico, Skip Agee, Jim Pennington, and Shane Bates. Visitation will be from 11:00a until the time of service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
