Frances Sturgeon

Frances Lee Sturgeon, 78, wife of Ray Sturgeon, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Ephriam McDowell Regional Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. She was born on February 5, 1939 in Lexington, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Fred Wyatt and Josephine Sweeney Wyatt Royalty. Frances was a graduate of Henry Clay High School in Lexington. She worked in retail sales for many years in Lexington at Mr. Wiggs and Higgins Kri Appliance. Frances was a devoted member of Lancaster Christian Church.

In addition to her parents Frances was also preceded in death by her son, Philip Thornberry, sisters, Mary Roberson, Betty Hobby, and step-father, Alvin Royalty. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Raymond Sturgeon, Lancaster, son, Fredrick Lee (Samantha) Thornberry, Clay City, KY, daughters, Karen (Dale) Hamilton, Shawnee, OK, Stephanie (Daniel) Murrell, Tecumseh, OK, and numerous grandchildren.
