Donald Simpson

Donald Edward Simpson, 81, widower of Sarah Jo Robinson Simpson, died Friday, June 18, 2021, at his home. He was born in Woodford County, Kentucky on February 19, 1940, to the late George Edward Simpson and Catherine Dorsey Thomas. He was a member of Midway Assembly of God and worked 28 years at Kulhman Electric.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a special friend, Jackie Olson Young. Donald will be lovingly remembered by his children, Bryan William (Heather) Simpson, Versailles, Scott (Michele) Simpson, Versailles, Tammy Reed, Danville, sisters, Joyce Rose, Versailles, Kathy Roe, Versailles, Dorothy Choates, Frankfort, brother, Dwayne (Connie) Simpson, Lancaster, 11 grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 pm, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort.
