David Brown

On June 24th 2018, David "Footsie" W. Brown Senior went home to be with his Lord. David was married to the love of his life, Edna Irene Brown for nearly 60 years.
They have five children, Pam Calvert (Rev. David), Bardstown, Felita Greer (Bobby), Frankfort, D. Wendell Brown Jr., Frankfort, Sandy Loman (Stuart), Frankfort, and Rev. Donna Whortenbury (Robert). They have 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He is survived by a sister, Jo Smith of Russellville, a brother, Bobby O. Brown of Lewisburg, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
David was born on January 6th, 1935 to the late Wiley D. Brown and Dena Stuart Brown.
He is preceded in death by a brother, James W. Brown; a great grandson, Andrew Conrad; and a daughter in law, Sherry Brown.
David served in the Kentucky National Guard for 39 years. He was employed at Boone Center in Frankfort for 37 years. After retiring in 1990, he worked a number of years at Keeneland.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 7 and the Lions Club both of Frankfort. He was a Hall of Fame member of the American Bowling Association both local and state.
