Connie Collins

Connie Wilson Collins, 76, widow of Bill Collins, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born in Great Crossings on June 19, 1945 to the late Roscoe Jenkins and Dorothy Todd Byrd. She worked for Monterey Market as a cashier clerk. In her younger years, she enjoyed vacations with her sister, spending time with her family, and raising her children.

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Cook, Frankfort, and Ashley Collins, Lexington; her sons, Dwayne Wilson, Frankfort, and Jeffery (Charity) Wilson, Monterey; her sister, Margaret “Delores” Monroe, Frankfort; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Wilson; and her son, Tony Wilson.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Bro. Larry Gaines officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her grandchildren will serve as casketbearers. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until the time of service on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
