Boyd Freeman Jr.

Boyd Freeman, Jr. 78, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020. Boyd was born in Franklin County on May 2, 1942, the son of the late Boyd and Ruby Freeman. He worked as a mechanic and truck driver, and he enjoyed fishing and gardening. Boyd is survived by his wife, Jean Payton Freeman; three daughters, Melissa Chaney, Kim Moore (Todd), and Theresa Hehe (Tony); two sons, Ronnie Payton and Donald Payton (Lisa); four sisters, Violet Burnette, Judy Kittrell (Curtis), Brenda Williams (Phil), and Thelma Barnett (Tommy); 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Payton and Mike Freeman, and a sister, Ruby Devine. Visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday. The family will hold a private funeral service.
