Bonnie Downey

Bonnie Downey, 70, wife of Jimmy Downey, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born in Versailles, Kentucky on August 23, 1947 to the late Wesley and Melvina Bowman Snapp. She worked for many years at the sewing factory in Midway and was a member of the Mortonsville United Methodist Church.

In addition to her loving husband Jimmy, Bonnie is survived by daughters, Daphne Whittaker, Versailles, Crystal (Robert) Luttrell, Lexington, son, Jimmy (Fiona) Downey, Bardstown, sisters, Shirley (Robert) White, Judy (Paul) Godbey, Hattie (Darrell) Keeling, and Geneva Brown, all of Versailles, six grandchildren, Alexis Downey, Bardstown, Jordan Downey, Bardstown, Chelsey Whittaker, Versailles, Aryzona Moore, Booneville, Hailee Moore, Richmond, and Jaden Miller, Nicholasville, and one great- grandchild. Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Snapp, Jr, and sister, Debbie Snapp Curless.
