Bobby McMurray

Frankfort – Bobby Ray McMurray, age 84, passed away from this life early Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Bradford Square Nursing Home following a brief, but hard-fought illness.
A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
He leaves behind his loving wife of eight years, Colleen M. Husband McMurray. He is also survived by his son, Kenneth R. McMurray of Bloomfield, Kentucky; granddaughter, Meagan McMurray of Louisville, two great-grandsons; and step-children, Carol McClughen (Mike) and Gary Riddell.
He will be missed by many close friends and his beloved dog, Ike.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John Buford McMurray and Helen Mae Sebree Pritchard; daughter, Garnet; two brothers and two sisters.
A Franklin County native, Bob retired from Jim Beam Distillery. He loved long motorcycle trips with his friends and enjoyed regaling others with stories of their adventures and offering advice about future roads to take.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Willard, Matt Marshall, Barry Wise, Rick Owens, Mike McClughen, and Gary Riddell.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
