Anna Haydon

May 11, 1931 — October 4, 2017

Anna "Mim" Goins Haydon, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Shelbyville. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Minister James Sudduth officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017.

Mrs. Haydon was born in Hatton, Kentucky on May 11, 1931 to the late Edward Duane and Sonia Goins. She was united in marriage to Russell Morris Haydon, who also preceded her in death. She retired from the Kentucky State Government where she served as a Supervisor of the Department of Unemployed Insurance.
She was a member of Beechridge Baptist Church. She was known to have a great sense of humor and strong work ethic. She never met a stranger, and touched many lives.

She is survived by her children, Diana J. Robinson (Gus and Rascal), Edward M. Haydon (Patricia), Joe Thomas Haydon (Angie McClure), and Jennifer Lynne Stephens (Dean); her grandchildren, Shane, Erin, Chad, Dianna, Leslee, and David; and by her great-grandchildren, Gage, Sydney, and Joseph. She was also blessed with many friends and loved ones.

Serving as pallbearers will be Salin Downey, Chad Haydon, Dean Stephens, David Stephens, Mark Hayden, and Greg Quire. Honorary will be Ronnie Martin, Calvin Sudduth, Gary Goins, and Maurice Young.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Lung Association or the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund.
