Ann Baker McCray

Ann Lee Baker McCray, 91, widow of Howard McCray, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020. She was born in Georgetown on October 28, 1928 to the late William and Malinda Warren Baker. She worked as a CNA for 15 years, starting at Taylor Manor.
She is survived by her daughters, Faye Carpenter, Winchester, Linda Sowards, Versailles, and Diana Hulette, Versailles; her son, John Carpenter, Frankfort; her step-children, Barbie Harvey, Brenda Wise, Jennifer Schmelzer, Gordon McCray, and Jeffrey McCray; her grandchildren, Andrew Sowards, Kim Ellis, Bobbie Jo Carpenter, Paula Anderson, Michael Carpenter Jr., Tina Carpenter, Joey Carpenter, Stephanie Carpenter, Jackie Stone, and Lloyd Hulette; several great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson, Carson Blake Crowe.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Carpenter; her sisters, Cecile Garrity, Helen Whitaker, Dorothy Brawner, and Jane Baumgardner; and her brothers, William Baker, Albert Baker, Julian Baker, and James Baker.
Graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Andrew Soward will be officiating. Serving as casketbearers will be Chad Ellis, Levi Stone, Lloyd Hulette, Glen Baker, Randy Stone, and Scott Girtley. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
